VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 26th encounter between Gujarat Lions vs Kings XI Punjab at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot on April 23, 2017 at 4:00 pm. Putting into bat first by Gujarat Lions, Punjab managed to put good total of 188 runs in 20 overs. HM Amla contributed well 65 runs of 40 balls. Gujarat in reply managed to score 162/7 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 26 runs. HM Amla declared man of the match for his 65 runs of 40 balls.

Gujarat Lions won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Punjab lost Manan Vohra early scoring just 2 runs. SE MArsh joined with inform man HM Amla and dealing with boundries in power play overs well. SE Marsh made 30 runs before got out. HM Amla once again played very good inning of 65 runs of just 40 balls and put Punjab in good position. GJ Maxwell's 31 of 18 balls and AR Patel's 34 of 17 balls helps KXIP to put good score of 188 runs in 20 overs.

Following target of 189 runs, Gujarat lost BB McCullum early scoring just 6 runs. AJ Finch also left the field of 13 runs. SK Raina and KD Karthik took the charge in hand for Gujarrat but SK Raina got out in hurry scoring 32 runs of 24 balls and GLR were in trouble. Middle orders falls against Punbaj spinners and RA Jadeja, DR Smith and AD Nath got our in quick interwals. KD Karthik played good inning of 58* runs but not enough to cross Punjab total and ended on 162/7 in 20 overs and lost the match by 26 runs. AR Patel and KC Carippa took two wickets each for Punjab with excellent bowling.
