VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 35th encounter between Gujarat Lions vs Mumbai Indians at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot on April 29, 2017 at 8:00 pm. Opting to bat first Gujarat made 153 runs in 20 overs and Mumbai also managed to score same 153 runs in 20 overs and match turn into super over. Mumbai won the super over by 5 runs and got important 2 match points in exciting match at Rajkot. KH Pandya got man of the match for his 3 for 14 and 29 runs of 20 balls.

Gujarat Lions won the toss and elected to bat first. Opting to bat first, Gujarat got firing start with I Kishan initially. BB McCullum fall early on 6 runs. Skipper SK Raina, 1, AJ Finch 0 and KD Karthik 2 were quick dismissals for Gujarat put lots of trouble after excellent start by I Kishan. Ishant Kishan played good quick inning of 48 runs and left the field. Lower orders RA Jadeja 28, JP Faulkner 21 and AJ Tye's quick 25 runs of 12 balls gave Lions some good total of 153 runs in 20 overs.

Following target of 154 runs, Mumbai lost JC Buttler early scoring 9 runs but, PA Patel at other end played superb cricket and made very well 70 runs of 44 balls. N Rana 19 runs and skipper RG Sharma 5 runs were quick wickets gave Gujarat some hope to defend small total. KA Pollard also went scoring 15 runs and Mumbai were in trouble. KH Pandya fought well and contributed 29 of 20 balls but Mumbai also ended on 153 runs in 20 overs and match turn into a super over.

In super over Mumbai made 11 runs having lost 2 wickets and Gujarat managed to score 6 runs in one over & lost the match in super over.
