Putting into bat first by Kolkata, Delhi managed to put 160 runs on board in 20 overs with SV Samson's 60 runs of 38 balls. Kolkata in reply made easy win by 7 wickets with RV Uthappa's 59 and G Gambhir's unchoring 71* runs for Kolkata. Gambhir Declared man of the match for his unbeaten 71 runs.
Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to field and let Delhi to set target. Putting into bat first, Delhi gor good start in power play overs. SV Samson go after Kolkata bowlers in field restrictions during power play overs and DD added 48 runs in 4.5 overs for 1st wicket before KK Nair got out scoring 15 runs. SS Iyer joined with Samson and played good sensible cricket in middle overs. SV Samson played quick cricket and contributed well 60 runs of 38 balls bafore got leg before wicket of UT Uadav's straight ball. SS Iyer also followed him scoring 47 runs. Other middle orders could went on Kolkata bowling and Delhi managed to put 160 runs in 20 overs. N Coulter Nile picked up 3 wickets for Kolkata.
Kolkata in reply bated ell once again and chased the given target in 16.2 overs having lost just 3 wickets and win the match by 7 wickets at Eden Gardens. RV Uthappa made 59 runs and skipper anchor KKr inning with 71 unbeaten runs to made easy win over Delhi Daredevils and rule points tally of IPL 2017 with 14 points in 9 matches.
