VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 33rd encounter between Kings XI Punjab vs Sunrisers Hyderabad at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh on April 28, 2017 at 8:00 pm. Putting into bat first by Punjab, Hyderabad top orders played well and managed to put huge total of 207 runs in 20 overs. DA Warner, S Dhawan and KS Willimson smashed fifties for SRH. Punjab in reply managed to score 181/9 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 26 runs. Rashid Khan declared man of the match for his tight bowling spell 4-0-16-1.
Kings XI Punjab won the toss and elected to field first. Putting into bat first by Punjab, Hyderabad with top orders brillient batting performances managed to put huge score of 207 runs in 20 overs. Skipper played well and made 51 runs of 27 balls. Another opening batsman S Dhawan also bated well and contributed 77 runs of 48 balls. Next man KS Willimson also went after Punjab bowlers well and he also smashed fifty with 54 unbeaten runs of just 27 balls. Punjab bowlers failed to restrict them for biggies only GJ Maxwell bowled well and took 2 wickets of 29 runs.
Following huge target of 208 runs, Punjab got firing start with KS Willimson but falls in hurry scoring 23 runs of 11 balls. M Vohra also followed him scoring 3 runs. Skipper GH Maxwell still failed to got form and left the field for a duck. SE Marsh played good aggrasive cricket for Punjab and smashed his fifty with impressive inning. He made very well 84 runs of 50 balls but other middle and lowers failed to bat well and lost the match by 26 runs. A Nehra and S Kaul picked up 3 wickets each for Hyderabad.
