VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 12th encounter between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on April 14, 2017 at 4:00 pm. Putting into bat first by Mumbai, Bangalore managed to put small totals of 142 runs in 20 overs for Mumbai. V Kohli contributed well 62 runs in come back match for Bangalore. Mumbai in reply lost 4 wickets of just 7 runs but KA Pollard's sensible 70 of 47 gave Mumbai extra ordinery win by 4 wkts. Pollard daclared man of the match.
Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to field first. Bangalore putting into bat first by Mumbai got excellent start with in-coming skipper Virat Kohli and big man CH Gayle initially. Kohli in come back match got good start and lifted balls all sides of ground as well. Both added 63 runs before Gayle got out scoring 22 runs. V Kohli completed his 1st fifty of IPL 2017 in come back match and contributed well 62 runs of 47 balls with five fours and 2 massive sixes. After Kohli's wicket AB de Villier, KM Jadav and Mandeep Singh lost their wickets in quick intervals and were in trouble to put big score for Mumbai. Other lower orders failed to bat well and RCB managed to put 142 runs in 20 overs.
Mumbai following small target of 143 runs surrendered against S Badree's deadly bowling and lost four wickets just in 2.3 overs on team score just 7 runs. S Badree claims his 1st IPL hat-trick and crushed Mumbai top orders with extra ordinery bowling performance. At one stage MI were 5/33 in 8 overs. KA Pollard and KH Pandya took the charge in hand for Mumbai and played some good cricket in middle overs. KA Pollard completed his fifty and made very well 70 runs of 47 balls to gave Mumbai hope for winning the match. Rest was done by middle orders and Mumbai won by 4 wickets with 7 balls spares to bowl. KH PAndya played well and contributed 37* runs.
