VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 55th encounter between Rising Pune Supergiants vs Kings XI Punjab at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on May 14, 2017 at 4:00 pm. Putting into bat first by Pune, Punjab batting collapsed against Pune's superb bowling and managed to score just 73 runs and all out in 15.5 overs. Pune made chase easily in 12 overs and won the match by huge margins of 9 wickets and qualify for playoffs as well. J Unadkat declared man of the match for his 2 wickets.

Earlier, Rising Pune Supergiant won the toss and elected to field first. Putting into bat first by Pune, Punjab lost MJ Guptill on very first ball of the inning. After Punjab batting collapsed like lue cards and batsmen find great difficulties to stood in middle for long. KXIP batsmen lost wickets in regular interwals and not big partnership made betwen any batsman at all. Punjab team all out in 15.5 overs having score just 73 runs in very important knock out match. SN Thakur picked up three wicket and JD Unadkat, A Zampa & DT Christian took two wickets each for Pune with excellent bowling performances.

Following small target of 74 runs, Pune bated confidently and made chase easily in 12 overs having lost just 1 wicket and won the match by huge margins of 9 wickets.
