VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 2nd encounter between Rising Pune Supergiants v Mumbai Indians at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune today. Mumbai put good totals of 184 runs on board for Pune but, Pune achieved the given target in 19.5 overs having lost 3 wickets and won their 1st IPL 2017 match by huge margins of 7 wickets at Pune. SPD Smith played captain inning with 84* in 55 balls and he declared man of the match for anchoring inning for Pune Super giants.
Rising Pune Supergiant won the toss and elected to field first. Mumbai Indians got firing start with PA Patel and JC Buttler initially. Both went after Pune bowling from the begning but Parthiv got out in hurry scoring 19 of 14 balls. Skipper RG Sharma also made his way scoring just 3 runs. Nitish Rana joined with Buttler and played good cricket in middle overs. Rana made 34 runs and Buttler played goos inning of 38 runs of just 19 balls before left the field. In later overs KA Pollard and HH Pandya played in top gear and put Mumbai Indians on good totals of 184 runs in 20 overs. Last two overs Pune conceded 39 runs. Polard made 27 of 17 balls and Hardik Pandya played firing inning of 35 runs of just 15 balls with four massive sixes and one four in his brave inning.
Pune Sper Giants in reply to get 185 runs could not get batter start and lost MA Agrawal early scoring just 6 runs. AM Rahane and skipper SPD Smith took the charge in hand and played good cricket till half of inning. AM Rahane played superb inning of 60 runs of just 33 balls before left the field. SPD Smith played excellent inning of 84* runs of 55 balls and gave Rising Pune well deserve win in tight finished match by 7 wickets.
