VIVO IPL season 10 start with 6th encounter between defending champion Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Lions Rajkot at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on April 09, 2017 at 4:00 pm. Hyderabad with all round bowling and batting performances crushed Gujarat by hue margins of 9 wickets with 27 balls remainings. DA Warner made 76* runs and Henriques contributed well 52* runs but, Rashid Khan given man of the match for his 3 for 19 runs with superb bowling preformance.
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and decided to field first and let Gujarat to set total to achieve. Putting into bat first by Hyderabad, Gujarat got firing start with JJ Roy initially. He smashed quick 31 euns in 21 balls before lost his wicket to B Kumar. After that Rashid Khan came in bawling and destroy top orders quickly. BB McCullum (5), SK Raina (5) and AJ Finch (3) were the victims of Rashid's deadly bowling. KD Karthik and DR Smith played some good cricket and put Gujarat total on 135 runs in 20 overs. Karthik made 30 and DR Smith contributed 37 runs for Gujarat Lions.
Following small target of 136 runs, Hyderabad having lost S Dhawan cheaply DA Warner and MC Henriques made easy to crushed Gujarat by huge margins of 9 wickets in 15.3 overs. Both Warner and Henriques went after Gujarat's bowler rudely and smashed fifties as well. Henriques made 52 runs and skipper DA Warner 76 runs of just 45 balls to presented 2nd consecutive win in IPL 2017 by huge margins of 9 wickets.
