Opting bat first, Chennai batemen surrendered against Mumbai spin attack and managed to put small total of 131 runs in 20 overs. Mumbai in reply with Suryakumar Yadav's sensible 71 unbeaten runs made chase easily in 18.3 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. Suryakumar declared man of the match. Mumbai will play Final encounter on 12th May against winner of Qualifier 2 match. Chennai will play Qualifier 2 against winner of Eliminator to qualify for Final.
