Match 2 : Prithvi Shaw & S Dhawan's fifty with 138 runs 1st wkts stand led DC to upset CSK by 7 wkts

2nd match of the 14th season Indian Premier League 2021 played between Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Capitals on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai at 7:30 pm.

Putting into bat first by Delhi, Chennai lost both opening batsmen on team score 7 runs. MM Ali and SK Raina took the charge in hand and played quick cricket for CSK. Moeen Ali made 36 runs and SK Raina smsahed IPL 2021 1st fifty and his 39th fifty with 54 runs of just 36 balls. In later overs, RA Jadeja 26 of 17 balls and Sam Curran with 15 balls 34 runs set huge target of 189 runs for Delhi to get.

Following 189 runs target, Delhi made excellent start with PP Shaw and S Dhawan. Both smashed fifties and added 138 runs for 1st wicket as well. Delhi made easy chase in 18.4 overs and won the match cmprehensively by 7 wickets with 8 balls remaining. PP Shaw made 72 runs of 38 balls and Dhawan smashed 85 runs of 54 balls. Dhawan declared man of the match.
