5th Match of the 14th season Indian Premier League 2021 played between Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai at 7:30 pm.

Putting into bat first by Kolkata, Mumbai with Suryakumar Yadav's 36 balls 56 runs managed to set defending total of 152 runs in 20 overs. Mumbai most batsmen faild to stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interwals. AD Russell bowl just 2 overs and pickd up five wicket of just 15 runs.

Following 153 runs target, Kolkata got wonderful start with S Gill and Nitish Rana again. Both added 72 runs before Gill got out scoring 33 runs. Nitish Rana also played good inning of 57 runs with back to back fifty in season. Other middle and lower orders failed to understand Rahul Chahar's spin bowling and Kolkata score 142 runs in 20 overs. Mumbai won by 10 runs. Rahul Chahar bowled well and took 4 wickets of 27 runs. He declared man of the match.
