Match 9 : Rahul Chahar & TA Boult's three wkts each powered MI to defend 150 runs and upset SRH by 13 runs

9th Match of the 14th season Indian Premier League 2021 played between Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai at 7:30 pm.

Opting to bat first, Mumbai with Q de Kock's 40, RG sharma's 32 and KA Pollard's 22 balls 35 runs mamanged to set defending total of 150 runs in 20 overs. Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Vijay Shankar took two wickets each for Hyderabad.

Following 151 runs target, Hyderabad made aggrassive start with DA Warner and JM Bairstow initially. Both bated well and added 67 runs before Bairstow got unfortunate hit-wicket out scoring quick 22 balls 43 runs with four massive sixes. Warner also got run out badly scoring 36 runs. Other middle and lower order batsmen failed to stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interwals. SRH all out scoring 137 runs and lost consecutive 3rd IPL 2021 match by 13 runs. KA Pollard declared man of the match for his 35 runs.
