Match 17 : KL Rahul 60* and CH Gayle 43* runs made easy for Punjab to chase 132 runs and win over MI by 9 wkts

17th Match of the 14th season Indian Premier League 2021 played between Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians on Friday, April 23, 2021 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai at 7:30 pm.

Putting into bat first by Punjab, Mumbai once again failed to set big target for opposition and managed to score 131 runs in 20 overs. Skipper RG Sharma played well and contributed 63 runs for MI. Suryakumar also played well and made 33 runs. Mhd Shami and Bishnoi bowled well and took two wickets each for Punjab as well.

Following small target of 132 runs, Punjab made slow but steady start with KL Rahul and MA Agrawal initially. Agrawal made his way scoring 25 runs but KL Rahul joined with CH Gayle and presented Punjab well needed win by huge margins of 9 wickets. CH Gayle made 43* runs and KL Rahul smashed 60 unbeaten runs. KL Rahul declared man of the match for his match winning inning.
