Match 10 : AB de Villiers' 76* and Maxwell's 78 runs powered RCB to set huge 205 runs target & won by 38 runs

10th Match of the 14th season Indian Premier League 2021 played between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai at 3:30 pm.

Opting to bat first, Bangalore lost top two wickets Kohli (5) and Patidar (1) of just 9 runs score. Padikkal also made his way scoring 25 runs and Bangalore were in trouble. GJ Maxwell and AB de Villiers took the charge in hand and played wonderful cricket for RCB. Both played quick cricket and smashed fifties as well. GJ Maxwell made 78 runs of 49 runs and AB de Villiers played firing inning of 34 balls 76 unbeaten runs. Bangalore managed to set huge target of 204 runs in 20 overs.

Fllowing huge target of 205 runs, Kolkata tried all their level best but managed to score 166 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 38 runs. AD Russell with 31 runs of 20 balls were top scorers for KKR. Kyle Jamieson took 3 wickets and Harshal Patel took 2 wickets for RCB. AB de Villiers declared man of the match for his unbeaten 76 runs.
