48th Match of the 14th season Indian Premier League 2021 will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Punjab Kings on Sunday, October 03, 2021 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah at 3:30 pm.

Opting to bat fist, Bangalore got good start and both opening batsmen played good cricket ititially. Kolhi made 25 runs and Padikkal contributed well 40 runs before got out. de Villiers also played good small inning of 23 runs but, GJ Maxwell played firing inning of 33 balls 57 runs and helped RCB to set good target of 165 runs for Punjab to get. Moises Henriques and Mohammed Shami bowled well for PBKS and picked up 3 wickets each as well. Punjab in reply with Mayank 42 balls 57 runs and KL Rahul's 39 runs fought hard but lost the match by 6 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal bowled well for RCB and picked up 3 wickets. Maxwell declared man of the match.
