Match 6 : GJ Maxwell's 59 runs followed by Shahbaz Ahmed's 3 for 7 powered RCB to upset SRH by 6 runs

6th match of the 14th season Indian Premier League 2021 played between Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai at 7:30 pm.

Putting into bat first by Hyderabad, Bangalore with Virat Kohli's 33 and GJ Maxwell's 41 balls 59 runs managed to set defending total of 149 runs in 20 overs for Hyderabad to get. Jeson Holder bowled wel and picked up three wickets of 30 runs. Rashid Khan also tok took two wickets of just 18 runs.

Following target of 150 runs, Hyderabad lost WP Saha early scoring just 1 run. DA Warner and MK Pandey took the charge in hand for SRH and played good cricket initially. Warner smashed 49th fifty of his IPL career before got out scoring 54 runs. MK Pandey also followed him scoring 38 runs. After that Shahbaz Ahmed came in 17 the over to bowl and took three wickets. Match turn in RCB favor and SRH managed to score 143 runs in 20 overs. RCB won by 6 runs. GJ Maxwell declared man of the match for his 59 runs.
