Match 35 : Hardik Pandya's 67 runs followed by Rashid Khan's 2 for 22 led Gujarat to knees down Kolkata by 8 runs
IPLT20 2022 Kolkata Knight Riders vs Gujarat Titans Ahmedabad Match 35 played on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai.
Opting to bat first, Gujarat Titans with Hardik Pandya's 49 balls 67 runs managed to set defending target of 157 runs for Kolkata to get. Andre Russell bowled last over of inning and took 4 wickets. Tim Southee also took 3 wickets for KKR as well.
Following 157 runs target, Kolkata's top orders faild to bat well ad at one stage KKR were 6/98 in 14th over. AD Russell came in middle and played quick inning of 25 balls 48 runs but Kolkata lost the match by 8 runs in tight finished match. Mhd Shami and Rashid Khan took 2 wickets each for Gujarat. Rashid Khan declared man of the match for his important two wickets.
