Match 50 : Phil Salt's 45 balls 87 runs & MR Marsh's 2 wks and 35* runs powered Delhi to upset Bangalore by 7 wickets

IPLT20 2023 Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore match played on Saturday, May 06, 2023 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

Opting to bat first, Bangalore got goodc start with Virat and du Plessis initially. Both added 82 runs for 1st wicket before du Plessis got out scoring 45 runs. Virat smashed his 50th IPL fifty and contributed 55 runs. Mahipal Lomror played wonderful quick inning of 29 balls unbeaten 54 runs and put RCB on 181/4 in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh with 2 wickets was top bowler for Delhi.

Following target of 182 runs, Delhi started quick batting with Warner and Salt initially. Both added 60 runs in 5 overs before Warner got out scoring 22 runs. Phil Salt's wonderful inning of 45 balls 87 runs and Rilee Rossouw with 22 balls 35* runs powered Delhi to made chase easily in 16.4 overs and won the match comprehensively by 7 wickets. Phil Salt declared man of the match for his useful 87 runs.
