Eliminator : Akash Madhwal's incredible 5 for 5 powered Mumbai to knocked out Lucknow by huge margins of 81 runs
IPLT20 2023 Lucknow Super Giants vs Mumbai Indians eliminator match has been played on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Opting to bat first, Mumbai with Cameron Green's 23 balls 41 runs, Suryakumar Yadav's 20 balls 33 runs and Nehal Wadhera with finishing touch 12 balls 23 runs managed to set good target of 183 runs for Lucknow to get. Naveen-ul-Haq bowled well and took 4 wickets of 38 runs. Yash Thakur also picked up 3 wickets for Lucknow as well.
Following huge target of 183 runs, Lucknow knees down against Akash Madhwal's incredible bowling performance and all out scoring just 101 runs and lost the match by huge margins of 81 runs. Akash Madhwal bowled wonderful spell of 3.3-0-5-5 and presented Mumbai ticket to Qualifier-2. He declared man of the match. Mumbai will play with Gujarat at Ahmedabad on 26th May to get ticket for Finale.
