Match 34 : Axar Patel with all-round performance 34 runs and 2 wkts led Delhi to defend 145 runs and upset Hyderabad by 7 runs
IPLT20 2023 Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals match played on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad.
Opting to bat first, Delhi's top order batsmen once again failed to bat well and managed to score 144 runs in 20 overs. Middle order batsmen Manish Pandey and Axar Patel both with 34 runs respectively bated some good cricket for Delhi. Washington Sundar bowled well and took 3 wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also bowed good spell of 4-0-11-2 for SRH as well.
Following small target of 145 runs, Hyderabad with very slow cricket managed to score just 137/6 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 7 runs. Mayank Agarwal 49 runs and Heinrich Klaasen 19 balls 31 runs were top scorers for Hyderabad. Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel took 2 wickets each for Delhi. Axar Patel declared player of the matc for his 34 runs and 2 wickets.
