IPL Match-5 : Shreyas Iyer's 42 balls 97* & Shashank Singh's 16 balls 44 runs helps PBKS to set 244 runs target and won by 11 runs
5th Match of IPLT20 2025 between Gujarat Titans vs Punjab Kings played on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad at 7:00 pm.
Putting into bat first by Gujarat, Punjab with Priyansh Arya's 23 balls 47 runs, Shreyas Iyer's superb 42 balls 97* runs and Shashank Singh's firing 16 balls 44* runs set very huge target of 244 runs for Gujarat to get. Sai Kishore bowled well for Gujarat and took 3 wickets of 30 runs in his 4 overs.
Following huge target of 244 runs, Gujarat tried best with Sai Sudharsan's 74 runs, Shubman Gill's 14 balls 33 runs, Jos Buttler's 33 balls 54 runs and Sherfane Rutherford's 28 balls 46 runs but managed to score 232/5 runs in 20 overs and lost high scoring match by 11 runs. Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets for PBKS. Shreyas Iyer declared man of the match for his 97* runs.
