Final match of 2015 IPL season 8 has been played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at Eden Gardens Stadium, Kolkata. Good peace of batting performances & splendid bowling powered Mumbai to win over Chennai by 41 runs in a Final Encounter of IPL season 8 and Grab IPL 2015 Trophy as well. RG Sharma declared man of the match for his superb inning of 50 runs of just 36 balls. Mumbai won IPL title 2nd time in history of Indian Premier League.

Eralier, Chennai won the toss and elected to field first and let Mumbai to set target. Miumbai could not made batter start and lost PA Patel early by superb run out by F du Plessis. RG Sharma joined with LMP Simmons and played splendid inning of 50 runs of just 26 balls. LMP Simmons also played good quick cricket and contributed 68 runs before lost his wicket. In later overs KA Pollard and AT Rayudu plaued quick inning of 36 runs each and put Mumbai on huge totals of 202 runs in 20 overs.

Following huge target of 203 runs in very important match, Chennai Could not get good start and lost MEK Hussy early scoring just 4 runs. SPD Smith made 57 runs in 48 balls before lost his wicket. Other batsmen could not kept the nerves well and failed to bated as required run rates. At end of 20 overs Chennai managed to score 161 runs and lost the match by 41 runs. Mumbai won IPL title 2nd time in history of IPL.
