1st Qualifier match of Playoffs round will be played between Gujarat Lions and Royal Challengers Bangalore at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on 24th May 2016. Putting into bat first by Bangalore, Gujarat top orders gone early but, DR Smith with 73 runs led Gujarat to put 158 runs in 20 overs. Bangalore needs 159 runs to win in 20 overs. Having got very poor start, Bangalore made chase successfully woth AB de Villiers' 79* of 47 balls and won the match by 4 wickets and became 1st finalist of IPL 2016....

Earlier, Bangalore won the toss and put Gujarat into bat first. Gujarat could not made batter start and lost top orders early. DR Smith played superb inning of 73 runs and Gujarat managed to put good total of 158 runs on board in 20 overs. SR Watson picked up 4 wickets for Bangalore.

Following target of 159 runs, Nangalore also not made goos start and lost 5 wickets just in 29 runs. AB de Villiers took the charge in hand and played extra ordinery inning of 79* runs just in 47 balls in a pressure match and led Bangalore to crushed Gujarat by 4 wikcets and became 1st finaliest of IPL 2016.
