36th Match of IPLt20 2016 has been played between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils at Punjab's home ground PCA Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh on 7th May 2016. Putting into bat first by Delhi, Punjab managed to put huge totals of 181 runs in 20 overs. MP Stoinis and WP Saha played well and contributed 52 runs each for Punjab. Punjab defend 181 runs well and won the match by 9 runs. MP Stoinis declared man of the match for his all round performances with 52 runs and 3 wickets for Punjab.

Earlier, Delhi Daredevils won the toss and elected to field. Punjab got good start with skipper M Vijay and MP Stoinis. Both added 45 runs for the 1st wicket before M Vijay left the field scoring 25 runs. HM Amla came in middle but got run out scoring just 1 run. WP Saha joined with MP Stoinis and kept the charge in hand for Punjab. Both played well and contributed well 52 runs each before lost their wickets. In later overs GJ Maxwell, DA Miller and AR PAtel played good quick cricnet and managed to put good total of 181 runs in 20 overs.

Following target of 182 runs, Delhi also made good confident start with Q de Kock and SV Samson as well. Q de Kock played one another good knock and made well 52 runs of just 30 balls before lost his wicket. KK Nair joined with Samson and played good cricket in middle overs. Both made 23 and 49 runs respectively. Other lower orders could not compit with higher required run rates and Delhi lost the match by 9 runs at the end.
