24th Match of IPLt20 2016 has been played between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 28th April 2016. Putting into bat first by Mumbai, Kolkata put good total of 174 runs in 20 overs. G Gambhir played well and made 59 runs for Kolkata. Mumbai in reply chased successfully the given taget in 18.0 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. KA Pollard played firing inning of 51* runs of just 17 balls but, RG Sharma declared man of the match for his leading from the top and contributed wll 68* runs.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to field first. Kolkata made good start with RV Uthappa and skipper G Gambhir initially. Both played well and added 69 runs for 1st wicket before RV Uthappa lost his wicket scoring 36 runs of 20 balls. G Gambhir also played well and made 59 runs. Other middle orders got good start but failed to convert their inning in big runs and Kolkata managed to put good totals of 174 runs in 20 overs.

Following target of 175 runs, Mumbai lost PA Patel early scoring just 1 run. AT Rayudu joined with RG Sharma and played good inning of 32 runs in 20 balls. RG Sharma played anchoring inning for Mumbai and completed his 4th 50s in IPL 2016. In later overs KA Pollard came in middle and played firing inning of 51* runs of just 17 balls with 6 massive sixes and presentede Mumbai well needed win over Kolkata by 6 wickets with 12 balls remaining. RG Sharma made 68* runs and declared man of the match.
