44th Match of IPLt20 2016 has been played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajkot based Gujarat Lions at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on 14th May 2016. Putting into bat first by Gujarat Lions, Bangalore with super duper AB de Villiers 129* and V Kohli's 109 runs inning put huge totals of 248 runs in 20 overs and crushed Gujarat by huge margins of 144 runs. AB de Villiers daclared man of the match for his 129* runs.

Earlier, Gujarat Lions won the toss and put Bangalore into bat first. Bangalore lost CH Gayle early scoring just 6 runs. AB de Villiers joined with skipper V Kohli and played extra ordinery inning for Bangalore. Both played super quick cricket and smashed 100 tones respectively. AB de Villiers completed his century just in 43 balls and V Kohli also followed him and smashed century in 52 balls. Twenty massive sixes and sixteen fantastic fours were smashed by bth in the field. Both made record partnership of 229 runs in the IPL. At last strom cmes in end and Bangalore managed to put huge score of 248 runs in 20 overs. Thsi was a second largest totals by any team in IPL history.

Following huge target of 249 runs, Gujarat under pressure could not bat well and managed to score just 104 runs and lost the match by huge margins of 144 runs at Bangalore. CJ Jordan picked up 4 wickets and YS Chahal picked up 3 wickets for Bangalore.
