Putting into bat first by Hyderabad, Kolkata after top orders failure Phil Salts' 40 balls 54 runs, Ramandeep Singh's 17 balls 35 runs, Rinku Singh's 15 balls 23 runs and big man Andre Russell's firing 25 balls 64 unbeaten runs set huge target of 209 runs for SRH to get. T Natarajan took 3 wickets of 32 runs for Hyderabad.
Following huge target of 209 runs, Hyderabad with very aggressive batting fought hard but managed to score 204 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by just 4 runs in tight finished match.
