IPLT20 2024 Punjab Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad match played on Tuesday, April 09, 2024 at PCA New Stadium, Mullanpur.
Putting into bat first by Punjab, Hyderabad top orders failed to bat well. Nitish Kumar Reddy came in middle and played wonderful inning of 37 balls 64 runs with Abdul Samad's 12 balls 25 runs and put Hyderabad on good total of 182 runs in 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh bowled well and took 4 wickets of 29 runs. Sam Curran and Harshal Patel took 2 wickets each for PBKS as well.
Following 183 runs target, Punjab lost top three wickets of just 20 runs. Sam Curran 29 runs and Sikandar Raza 28 runs played well but failed to convert innings too long. In later overs Shashank Singh with 25 balls 46* runs and Ashutosh Sharma 15 balls 33* runs tried their best but managed to score 180 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by just 2 runs. Nitish Reddy declared man of the match for his 64 runs and 1 wicket.
