1st Test match of three test match series played between India vs New Zealand at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru during 16th to 20th October, 2024.

Day-5

Resume batting on 0/0, New Zealand lost tow wickets on 35 runs. Will Young with 48* runs and Rachin Ravindra with 39* runs bated through and presented New Zealand wonderful win by 8 wickets. Bumrah took both 2 wickets. Rachin Ravindra declared man of the match for his 134 in 1st inning and 39* in 2nd inning. New Zealand led 3-match series 1-0.

Day-4

Resume batting on 231/3, India with Sarfaraz Khan's 150 runs and Rishabh Pant's superb 99 runs score 462 runs in 2nd inning. New Zealand given 107 runs target to win the match. Matt Henry and William O’Rourke claimed 3 wickets each for New Zealand. Batting in 2nd inning New Zelaland were 0/0 in 0.4 overs and bat lights stopped the match.

Day-3

Resume batting on 180/3, New Zealand with Rachin Ravindra's superb 134 runs and Tim Southee's 65 runs score 402 runs in 1st inning. New Zealand got healthy lead of 356 runs over India. Batting in 2nd inning India were 231/3 at stumps. Rohit Sharma with 52 runs, Virat with 70 runs and Sarfraz with unbeaten 70 runs were top scorers. India still trail by 125 runs.

Day-2

Opting to bat first, India with very poor batting performances all out scoring just 46 runs in 31.2 overs. Rishabh Pant with 20 runs was top scorer. Matt Henry bowled well and took 5 wickets. William O’Rourke also picked up 4 wickets as well. Batting in 1st inning New Zealand were 180/3 as stumps day-2. Devon Conway bated well and made 91 runs. Rachin and Mitchell is in middle to resume 3rd day play.
