Day-4 : VD Philander's deadly bowling with 9 wkts in match powered Africa to knees down India by 72 runs at Cape Town
South Africa resume 4th day with previous day score 65/2 and all out scoring 130 runs with India's excellent pace bowling performances. JJ Bumrah and Mhd Shami picked up 3 wickets each and B Kumar and HH PAndya took 2 wickets each for India as well. AB de Villiers with 35 runs were top scorer for South Africa. India got 208 runs target to win Cap Town Test. India could not made batter start and losth top 3 wickets early in 39 runs. S Dhawan 16, M Vijay 13 and CA Pujara 4 runs were top 3 wickets of India. Skipper Virat Kohli and RG Sharma took the charge in hand for India and played sensible innings for India. Both got out in quick interwals and India were in trouble. At one stage India were 82/7. R Ashwin faught well with contributing 37 runs before lost his wicket. Other lower orders failed to stood in middle for long and surrender against VD Philabder's deadly bowling and India all out scoring 135 runs. South Africa registered comprehensive win by 72 runs and led 3-match series 1-0. VD Philander picked up 6 wickets with excellent bowling performances. He declared man of the match for 9 wickets in match.
Day-2 : HH Pandya's 93 & 99 runs stand with B Kumar helps India to minimise lead to 77 runs, Africa 65/2 & lead by 142 runs
India resume 2nd day with previous day score 28/3 and at one stage were 92/7 with African pace bowlers excellent bowling. HH Pandya played superb inning of 93 runs but India all out scoring 209 runs and trailed by 77 runs of South African 1st inning score. VD Philander and K Rabada picked up 3 wickets each. DW Steyn and M Morkel got 2 wickets each for Africa as well. South Africa started inning with 77 runs lead and lost 2 wickets early of HH Pandya's killer bowling and were 65/2 at stumps Day-2. Africa still ahead of 142 runs with 8 wickets remaining.

1st test of 3-match series between South Africa and India started today at Cape Town. South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. Opting to bat first, South Africa did not get batter start and lost top three wickets early on team score 12 runs. All three wicket taken by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. AB de Villiers and skipper Faf du Plessis took the charge in hand for Africa and played good innings of 65 and 62 runs bafore left the field. Q de Kock also played good inning of 43 runs before got out. Lower order batsmen KA Maharaj contributed well 35 runs before got run out. South Africa all out in 73.1 overs scoring 286 runs in 1st inning.
India open inning with S Dhawan and M Vijay. Both failed to gave India batter start and got out scoring 16 and 1 run respectively. CA Pujara and skipper V Kohli came in middle to shape up India inning. Virat Kohli also fall down in 1st bowling and got out of 1st ball of M Morkel scoring just 5 runs. CA Pujara and RG Sharma bated till end of the and India were 28/3 at stumps Day-1.
