Kohli's 34th ton in ODI & Chahal-Kuldeep's 4 wickets each lifted India to a huge win by 124 runs at Cape Town
3rd one-day international of 6-match series played between South Africa and India at Cape Town today. Putting into bat first by Africa, India with S Dhawan's 76 and V Kohli's excellent 160 unbeaten runs managed to put huge total of 303 runs in 50 overs. South Africa all out scoring 179 runs in 40 overs and lost the match by huge margins of 124 runs. V Kohli declared man of the match for his 160 unbeaten runs. India led 6-match ODI series 3-0.
Earlier, South Africa won thr toss and decided to field first. Putting into bat first, India could not made batter start and lost RG Sharma for a no score. Skipper Virat Kohli joined with inform S Dhawan and played sensible cricket initially. Both played slow but confident cricket and take India on 140 runs before Dhawan got out scoring very well 76 runs. Wickets kept falling at other end buy Kohli remained in middle till and played one another splendid inning of unbeaten 160 runs for India. This was his 34th knock in one-day internationals as well. India managed to put huge total of 303 runs in 50 overs.
Following huge target of 304 runs, South Africa once again failed to get good start and lost HM Amla early scoring just 1 run. JP Duminy joined with Markram and played good cricket initially. South Africa lost one another wicket of skipper Markram scoring 32 runs. Duminy also left the field contributing well 51 runs. At one stage Africa were 95/4 in 22 overs. DA Miller and K Zondo played some good cricket but Miller got out scoring 25 runs and South Africa were in trouble chasing big target of 304 runs. Other lower orders could not understand spin balls well and Africa all aout scoring 179 runs in 40 overs. India won by 124 runs and led the 6-match series 3-0 as well. YS Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav bowled very well and took 4 wickets each with superb bowling performance. V Kohli declared man of the match for his 34th ODI ton with unbeaten 160 runs.
