Kusal Perera's 37 balls 66 runs led Sri Lanka to upset India by 5 wickets at Colombo
1st twenty20i match of Nidahas Trophy t20i tri-series played between India and Sri Lanka at R Premdasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo today. Putting into bat first by Sri Lanka, India with S Dhawan's excellent 90 of just 49 balls managed to put good score of 174 runs in 20 overs. Sri Lanka with Kusal Perera's 36 balls 66 runs won the match by 5 wickets with 9 balls remaining. Kusal Perera declared man of the match for his 66 runs.
Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and put India into bat first. India could not made batter start and lost skipper RG Sharma for a duck and SK Raina scoring just 1 run. India were 9/2 in 2 overs. S dhawan and MK Pandey took the charge in hand for India and played superb cricket in middle overs. Both added 95 runs for 3rd wicket before Pandey got out scoring well 37 runs. S Dhawan also played splendid crickt and made 90 runs of just 49 balls with 6 fantastic fours and 6 massive sixes in his brave inning. India put good score of 174 runs in 20 overs.
Sri Lanka in reply with Kusal Perera's excellent batting won the match by 5 wickets with 9 balls remaining. Perera played excellent inning of 66 runs of 37 balls and led Sri Lanka to win over India by 5 wickets.
