Excellent batting & bowling powererd India to win 3rd test in 3 days and complete whitewash host Sri Lanka with 3-0
Sri Lanka resume batting with 19/1 on previous day scores and all out scoring 181 runs. R Ashwin took 4 wickets and Mhd Shami picked up 3 wickets for India. India registered comprehensive win by an innings and 171 runs. India won the 3-match series 3-0 as well. Hardik Pandya declared man of the math for his huge contribution with bat and made maiden hundred ton 108 runs. R Ashwin took 17 wickets in 3 matches and RA Jadeja took 13 wkts in 2 matches but, Shikhar Dhawan declared man of the series for his 358 runs in 3 test with two centuries.

Pandya's maiden Test ton & Kuldeep's four wkts helps India made Sri Lanka follow on for the 2nd successive Test
India resume batting with 329/6 on previous day scores and all out scoring 487 runs. Hardik Pandya's 108 of 98 balls were highlight for today's India inning. PADLR Sandakan picked-up five wickets for Sri Lanka with impressive bowling. Sri Lanka came into bat and surrender against India's classic bowling performances. Kuldeep got an opportunity to play for Jadeja and grab chance well with 4 wickets in his 13 overs. Mhd Shami and R Ashwin took 2 wickets each for India. Sri Lanka all out in 135 and trail by 350 runs of India's 1st inning score.
India forced Sri Lanka for follow on. Sri Lanka were 19/1 at stumps day 2 still trail by 333 runs with 9 wickets remaining.

Sri Lanka fought back after good opening stand between Dhawan 119 & Rahul 85, India 329/6 on 1st day at Pallekele
3rd Test match of three match series between Sri Lanka and India begun today at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. India won the toss and elected to bat first. S Dhawan and KL Rahul open inning for India. Both played excellent cricket as usual and added 188 runs for 1st wicket before KL Rahul got out scoring well 85 runs. Dhawan smashed his 6th Test century and left the field scoring 119 runs. CA Pujara went early today of just 8 runs. AM Rahane also got out scoring 17 runs and India were 264/4. Pushpakumara bowled well for Sri Lanka and picked-up three wickets. PADLR Sandakan also took two wickets for Sri Lanka.
Virat Kohli and R Ashwin played good cricket in later part of the day and contributed 42 and 31 runs before lost their wickets. India were 329/6 at stumps day 1 and WP Saha 13* & HH Pandya 1* were in middle to resume tomorrow's batting for India.
