PP Shaw and Ishan Kishan's firing batting led India to crush Sri Lanka by 7 wickets and led 3 match series 1-0

1st One-day international match of three ODI match series has been played between Sri Lanka and India on July 13, 2021.

Opting to bat first, Sri Lanka managed to set good defending target of 263 runs for India to get. Chamika Karunaratne 43 runs and Dasun Shanaka 39 runs were top scorers for Sri Lanka. Deepak Chahar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav bowled well and took 2 wickets each for India as well.

Following 263 runs target, India got firing start with PP shaw and S Dhawan initially. Specially, PP shaw smashed 43 runs of just 24 balls with 9 fantastic fours. Ishan Kishan came in middle and hits six on very first ball of his ODI career. He smashed fifty in his 1st match with scoring 59 quick runs of 42 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes. Dhawan on other end played anchoring role and remained not out till end scoring 86 runs. India made chase easily in 36.4 overs and won the match comprehensively by 7 wickets. PP Shaw declared man of the match for his quick 24 balls 43 runs. India led 3 match 1-0 as well.
