2nd twenty20 match of three t20i match series played between India vs Sri Lanka at MCA Sadium, Pune on Thursday, January 05, 2023.

Putting into bat first by India, Sri Lanka with Kusal Mendis' 52 runs and skipper Dasun Shanaka's super quick 22 balls 56 unbeaten runs set huge targe of 207 runs for India to get. Umran Malik were eaxpensive but took 3 wickets conseding 48 runs for India. Axar Patel also took 2 wickets of 24 runs in his 4 overs.

Following huge target of 207 runs, India fought hard with Suryakumar Yadav's 51 runs and Axar Patel's firing 31 balls 65 runs but lost the match by 16 runs. Dilshan Madushanka, Kasun Rajitha and Dasun Shanaka took 2 wickets each for Sri Lanka. Dasun Shanaka declared man of the match for his quick 56 runs and 2 wickets.
