3rd one day international of five match series between West Indies and India played on Friday, June 30 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua. Putting into bat first by West Indies, India with AM Rahane's 72 & MS Dhoni's superb 78* runs managed to put 251 runs for West Indies to achieve in 50 overs. West Indies in reply all out scoring 158 runs and lost the match by 93 runs. MS Dhoni declared man of the match for his superb 78 unbeaten runs.
Earlier, West Indies won the toss and elected to field. Putting into bat first by West Indies, India could not made good start and lost S Dhawan early scoring just 2 runs. Skipper Kohli also made his way contributing 11 runs. Yuvraj Singh joined with AM Rahane and took the charge in hand for India initially. Both played slow but sensible cricket and put India on 100 runs in 26.2 overs before Yuvraj Singh got out scoring 39 runs. AM Rahane played well at other hand and with his consistant form passed over fifty runs in consecutive 3rd match of the series. He made very well 72 runs before left the field. MS Dhoni and KM Jadhav came in middle and played some quick cricket in last ten overs and put India on good score of 251 runs in 50 overs. MS Dhoni played well and contributed unbeaten 78 runs of 79 runs. Kedar Jadhav also played quick inning of 40 runs of just 26 balls with excellent batting performance.
Following target of 252 runs, West Indies most batsmen failed to stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interweals as well. Top oders fall against India's pace attack and middle & lower orders surrender against spin bowling. West Indies managed to score 158 runs in 38.1 overs and all out with poor bating performances. India made easy win by 93 runs. India registered 2nd consecutive win in series and led 5 match ODI series by 2-0.
