Match 3 : Due to heavy rain match cancelled and both teams given 1-1 points each
3rd ODI Match of Cricket Asia Cup 2023 between India vs Pakistan at Pallekele Cricket Stadium, Kandy on Saturday, September 02, 2023.
Opting to bat first, India lost top four wickets of just 66 runs. Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya took the charge in hand and played wonderful innings for India. Both smashed fifties with 138 runs 5th wicket stand and put India on 204 runs in 37.3 overs before Ishan got out scoring superb 82 runs. Hardik also contributed well 87 runs before left the field. Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled well and took 4 wickets. Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf also took 3 wickets each for Pakistan. India managed to set good target of 267 runs for Pakistan to get.
In 2nd inning, Rain continued for long and match forced to cancelled due to wet out field. Both teams get 1-1 points each.
