Match 11 : Jansen's 3 for 39 followed by van der Dussen & Klaasen's 50s led Africa to knees down England by 7 wkts and qualify for semi-final
11th match of Champions Trophy 2025 between England vs South Africa played at National Stadium, Karachi on Saturday, 01 March, 2025.
Opting to bat first, England with very poor batting performances all out scoring 179 runs in 38.2 overs. Joe Root with 37 runs was top scorer for England. Marco Jansen and Wiaan Mulder bowled well and shared 3 wickets each for South Afriac as well.
Following 180 runs target, South Africa with Rassie van der Dussen's unbeaten 72 runs and Heinrich Klaasen's 64 runs made chase easily in 29.1 overs and won the match comprehensively by 7 wickets. Jofra Archer took 2 wickets for England. Marco Jansen declared man of the match for his important 3 wickets and 3 superb catches on the field. Africa through to semi-finals as well.
