Excellent pace bowling followed by Dhoni-Jadhav's 141* runs stand helps India to knees down Australia by 6 wkts

1st one-day match of five one-day international match series played between India and Australia at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad. Opting to bat first, once again Australia could not made batter start and lost skipper AJ Finch for a duck. UT Khawaja and MP Stoinis shape-up Australian inning well and added 86 runs for 2nd wicket before Stoinis got out scoring 37 runs. Usman Khawaja also played good inning of 50 runs before left the field. GJ Maxwell took the charge in hand and contributed well 40 runs. Lower orders batsmen AT Carey (36) and Nathan Coulter-Nile (28) helps Australia to put good total of 236 runs in 50 overs. Bumrah, Shami and Kuldeep took 2 wickets each for India. RA Jadeja wes wicket less but bowled very economical spell of 10-0-33-0.

India in reply also lost S Dhawan for a duck. Kohli joined with RG Sharma and played good cricket initially. Kohli made 44 runs and Rohit made 37 runs before lost wickets in quick interwals. AT Rayudu made his way scoring just 13 runs and India were in trouble. MS Dhoni and KM Jadhav took the charge in hand for India and played sensible cricket till end. Both added unbeaten 141 runs for 5th wicket and presented India good win by 6 wickets with 10 balls remaining. KM Jadhav contributed 81* and Dhoni made 59* runs to gave India 1st win in 5-match ODI series. India led ODI series 1-0 as well. KM Jadhav declared man of the match for his 81 runs.
