2nd Group match of IPL edition 2017 will be played between Rising Pune Supergiants v Mumbai Indians on 6th April, 2017 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune at 8:00 pm.
Rising Pune Supergiants has new skipper SPD Smith to led for IPL 2017. Previous year in IPL 2016 MS Dhoni was captain of RPS. R Ashwin has wthdrawn his name due to injury. Fortunately Imran Tahir and Adam Zampa are quality spiner in Pune team. Rahne, F du Plessis, U Khawaja and Manish Pande also stands with Pune as batsmen. Ben Strokes and AB Dinda might get opportunity for pace attack.
Mumbai Indians on other hand having good combinations of batsmen and bowlers tried to get positive opening in opener match of IPL 2017. RG Sharma(C), Harbhajan Singh, AT Rayudu and J Bumrah and Hardik Pandya are star Indian players along with KA Pollard, SL Malinga, MG Johnson and Tim Southee are big international cricket names are in Mumbai Indians to give batter start in Mumbai's opening match at MCa Stadium, Pune.
Both played 2 games in IPL and won one match each in previous season. Let's hope for the tight finished match between two good team of Indian Premier League..
