First Semi final of CLT20 2014 has been played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Hobart Hurricanes at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad. Kolkata continued winning knock in CLT20 2014 and knees down Hurricanes by 7 wickets. JH Kallis (Kolkata) declared man of the match for his superb match winning inning of 54* runs of 40 balls.
Earlier, Hurricanes won the toss and decided to bat first. Hurricanes could not made batter start and lost 2 wickets early in 2.4 overs. BR Dunk 39 runs and Shoaib Malik 66* runs played good innings for Hobart and put 140 runs on board for Kolkata to achived in 20 overs.
Following target of 141 runs, Kolkata lost skipper Gambhir early. But, middle order batsmen MK Pandey 40 runs and JH Kallis 54* runs played sensibles cricket and gave Kolkata ticket for CLT20 2014 final and won the match by 7 wickets.
