8th Group Stage match of CLT20 2014 was played between Sunfoil Dolphins and Chennai Super Kings at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Chennai with extra ordinery batting performances won the match by huge margins of 54 runs. SK Raina awarded man of the match for his brave inning of 90 runs of just 43 balls with 8 towring sixes.
Earlier, Dolphins won the toss and decided to firlsd first and let Chennai to set target. Chennai lost DR Smith early. But, BB McCullum and SK Raina played exter ordinary cricket. BB McCullum played quick inning of 49 runs of 29 runs before lost his wicket. SK Raina kept momentom on and he also fired his inning with 90 runs of just 43 balls. He smashed 8 sixes and 4 fours in his brave inning. In later overs RA Jadeja played firing inning of 40 runs of just 14 balls and put Chennai on 242 runs at the end of 20 overs. Following very huge target of 243 runs, Dolphins also started aggrassively and go after Chennai boalwer from the begining. CS Delport made super quick 34 runs of just 9 balls. C Chetty also made 38 runs of 28 balls. Dolphins all playes tried their best but could not reach Chennai target and all out scoring 188 runs.
