3rd ODI between England and India has been played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham today. India with all-round performance won the match by 6 wickets. AT Rayudu played superb inning of 64* runs. RA Ashwin picked-up 3 wickets in his 10 overs and declared man of the match.
Earlier, India won the toss and decided to field first and let Home Team England to set taarget. England started confidently and opening batsmen played good cricket initially. 82 runs were added between two openers before AD Hales lost wicket to SK Raina on 42 runs. Skipper AN Cook also departed soon of AT Rayudu's bowling scoring 44 runs. Spiners played important part for india and England managed to put 227 runs on board after 50 overs. RA Ashwin picked-up 3 wickets of his 10 overs. Other bowlers SK Raina, AT Rayudu, B Kumar, RA Jadeja and M Shami got 1 wicket each.
Following target of 228 runs India lost S Dhawan early. V Kohli joined with Rahane and played superb inning of 40 runs. Rahane also made 45 runs before he departed. SK Raina also played good inning of 42 runs. AT Rayudu played till end and contributed very well 64 runs and gave India victory by 6 wickets when 42 ball spare to bowl.
Series India led 5 match series 2-0.
