18th match of ICC Worldcup 2015 has been played between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne today. Sri Lanka With superb peace of top orders batting display manage to put huge score of 332 runs at the end of 50 overs. TM Dilshan made 161* runs and Kumar Sangakkara contributed very well 105* runs for Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka won the match by 92 runs. TM Dilshan got man of the match for his 161 runs.
Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first. Sri Lanka made confident start with HDRL Thirimanne and TM Dilshan. Both played splendid cricket and made 122 runs partnership for 1st wicket before HDRL Thirimanne lost his wicket scoring 52 runs. KC Sangakkara joined with TM Dilshan and played superb inning for Sri Lanka. TM Dilshan made 161 runs with 22 fours and Sangakkara contributed 105 runs and both remained not out till end of Sri Lanka inning. Sri Lanka managed to put huge score of 332 runs for Bangladesh to achieved.
Following huge target of 333 runs, Bangladesh could not made batter start and lost Tamim Iqbal on very 2nd ball of inning. Other top order got good start but faild to convert inning for long and lost wickets in regular interwals. Shakib Al Hasan played good innning of 46 runs and Mushfiqur Rahim contributed 36 runs before lost wicket. Sabbir Rahman tried his best in later overs contributing 53 runs but not enough to reach huge target of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh lost the match by 92 runs.
