2nd Quarter Final match of ICC Worldcup 2015 has been played between India and Bangladesh at Melbourne Cricket Ground today. India opting to bat first managed to put huge score of 302 runs at the end of 50 overs. RG Sharma played superb inning of 137 runs and SK Raina contributed quick 65 runs for India. Bangladesh all out scoring 193 runs and lost the match by 109 runs. RG Sharma declared man of the match for his superb inning of 137 runs.
Earlier, India won the toss and decided to bat first. India started innig slowly and confidently with RG Sharma and S Dhawan initially. Both played goos cricket and added 75 runs for wicket before S Dhawan lost his wicket scoring 30 runs. Next coming batsmen V Kohli 3 runs and AM Rahane 19 could not stood in middle for long and lost wickets early. But, SK Raina joined with RG Sharma and took charge in hand in middle overs. Both played splendid cricket and contributed well for India. SK Raina made quick 65 runs in 57 balls before lost hi wicket. RG Sharma played superb innig for India and contributed well 137 runs. In later overs RA Jadeja made 23* of 10 balls and put India on 302/6 at the end of 50 overs.
Following huge target of 303 runs, Bangladesh got good start but, at team score 33 runs lost both openers in quck successions. Other middle and lower batsmen got good start but could stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interwals. Sabbir Rahman 30 and Nasir Hossain 35 runs played well but not enough to reach India huge totals and Bangladesh lost the match by huge margins of 109 runs.
