28th match of ICC Worldcup 2015 has been played between India and West Indies at WACA Ground, Perth today. India with superb peace of bowling performances restricted West Indies on 182/10 after 44.2 overs. India chased successfully given taget in 39.1 overs having lost 6 wickets and won the match by 4 wickets. Mohammed Shami declared man of the match for his 3 important wickets.
Earlier, West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first. Opting to bat first, West Indies top orders could not stood in middle for long against Indian pace attack and continued to lost wickets in regular interwals. At one stage West Indies were 85 for 7 wickets in 24.1 overs. Skiper JO Holder and DJG Sammy took the charge in hand and played slow but sensible cricket in middle overs. JO Holder made very well 57 runs and DJG Sammy contributed 26 runs. West Indies managed to put small totals of 182/10 runs in 44.2 overs.
Following target of 183 runs, India also could not made batter start and lost both opening batsmen in 20 runs. Virat Kohli and AM Rahane came in middle and played good cricket initially. V Kohli made 33 runs and AM Rahane contributed 14 runs before lost their wickets. Skiiper MS Dhoni came in middle and played superb inning of 45 runs and gave India comprehensive win by 4 wickets with 65 balls remaining having lost 6 wickets.
