23rd match of ICC Worldcup 2015 has been played between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at Brisbane Cricket Ground, Brisbane. Pakistan with outstanding bowling performances won the match by 20 runs over Zimbabwe. Wahab Riaz (Pakistan) got man of the match for his quick 54 runs and picked up 4 important wickets.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan lost openers early. Middle order batsmen Haris Sohail and skipper Misbah ul-haq played sensible cricket and took the charge in hand. Misbah ul-haq played captain iinning and contributed 73 runs. In later overs lower order batsman Wahab Riaz played quick inning of 54 runs and put team score of 235 runs at the end of 50 overs.
Following target of 236 runs, Zimbabwe also top orders early. Muddle order batsman BRM Taylor played good cricket and made 50 runs, SC Williams also contributed 33 runs for Zimabawe. But, wicket falls at other end regularely and Zimbabwe lost the match by 20 runs. Skipper E Chigumbura tried his best and made 35 runs but not enough to reach Pakistan score and team Zimbabwe all out in 49.4 over scoring 215 runs. Pakistan won by 20 runs and open account in points tally of ICC Worldcup 2015.
