Player of the Match : Q de Kock (South Africa)

1st One Day Match : First One-day Internationl of South Afric v India series 2014 was played today at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

Soth Africa won the match by huge margin of 141 runs. South African Wicket Keeper batsman Q de Kock declared man of the match for his superb inning of 135 runs of 121 balls.

Earlier MS Dhoni, captain of India won the Toss and decied to put South Africa bat first. The decision gone in favore of South African batsman and they put very high score of 358 runs for India to achived. Q de Kock was the leading scorer for South Africa. He contributed 135 runs. Skipper AB de Villiers also made quick 77 runs and in later overs JP Duminy go after Indian bowlers well and made quick 59 runs of 29 balls.

Following big totals of 359 runs India made slow start with Sharma and Dhawan. But, India lost Dhawan scoring just 12 runs. Virat Kohli joined with RG Sharma and play slow cricket. But, Kohli also could not stood against South African pace attack for long and lost his wicket scoring 31 runs. Other Middle order and lower batsmen surrender against African pacc bowlers and team India all out in 41 overs scoring 217 runs and lost the match by 141 runs. MS Dhoni fight well and made 65 runs but not enough to save the match. Series South Africa led the 3-match series 1-0.
