28th match of IPL season 7 has been played between Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delih. Kolkata with good all round batting performances won the match by 8 wickets. Kolkata Skipper Gautam Gambhir declared man of the match for his superb 69 runs.
Earlier, Delhi won the toss and chose to bat first. Opting to bat first, Delhi top order batsmen could not contributed well. M Vijat started well and made 24 runs but, lost his wicket in hurry. KD Karthik played good inning of 36 runs and JP Duminy in later overs played quick inning of 40 runs in 28 runs and put 160 runs on board to achieved for Kolkata.
Following target of 161 runs, Kolkata started inning with RV Uthappa and skipper Gautam Gambhir very confidently. Both played superb cricket as previous match. Both added 106 runs for 1st wicket partnership before RV Uthappa lost wicket scoring 47 runs. Manish Pandey joined with Gambhir and played sensible cricket with skipper. In the mean time Gambhir completed his half-century and continued playing useful inning for Kolkata.
Thus, Kolkata got 2 points and Delhi once again lost the match at home and got 0 points. Gautam Gambhir declared man of the match for his superb inning of 69 runs.
