IPL 7 Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Report

Second match of IPL season 2014 was played between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. Bangalore made superb win by 8 wickets when 20 balls spares to bowl. Yuvraj Singh played quick inning of 52 runs of 29 balls but, YS Chahal declared man of the match for his tight bowling 4 overs spending 18 runs and picked up 1 wicket.

Earlier Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to firld first and let Delhi to set target. Delhi could not made batter start and lost 3 wickets early. Middle order batsman JP Duminy 67 runs and LRPL Taylor 43 runs played good innings for Delhi and put 145 runs for Bangalore at the end of 20 overs.

Following target of 146 runs, Bangalore also lost NJ Maddinson early but, skipper Virat Kohli joined with PA Patel and took the charge in hand. Both played quick cricket and kept wickets in hand. PA Patel contributed 37 runs before lost wicket. Yuvraj Singh jioned with Kohli played firing inning of 52 runs of just 29 balls. Kolhi also made 49 runs of 38 balls and both remained not till end. Bangalore registered huge win by 8 wickets when 20 balls spare to bowl.

Thus, Bangalore earn 2 points and Delhi yet to open account in IPL season 7. YS Chahal (RCB) declared man of the match for his tight bowling spell.
